We won't give you a firm number over the phone for anything beyond a spring swap or opener install on a door we can see clearly in photos or in person. A lot of the doors in this area date back to houses built between 1946 and 2004, with plenty from the 1960s and 70s - that spread means a torsion spring setup, a jackshaft opener, or a track configuration that isn't standard anymore, and quoting that blind is how a homeowner ends up paying for a wrong part twice.
We also don't take on jobs where the door has been off its track for a while and the opener kept forcing it - by the time that happens, there's usually frame damage or a bent panel underneath that changes the whole scope, and we're not going to price a torsion spring job when the real fix is a new door. If it's cheaper for you to replace than repair, we'll tell you that instead of running up a repair bill.

When you call, the fastest way to a real number is to have three things ready: the age of the house or at least a rough sense of when the door was put in, what the door is doing wrong (won't open, makes a bang, opener runs but door doesn't move, sagging on one side), and a photo of the spring, the track, and the opener unit if you can get one. A photo of the springs alone tells us more than a five-minute description - torsion springs, extension springs, and the hardware they sit on all price differently, and guessing wrong on that over the phone wastes your time and ours.
